Terms and conditions

Our terms and conditions are as follows,
1. Preparation and Access :- Clearances:
The caravan should be set up with enough clearance around it (ideally a minimum of 1 meter,) to allow the technician to work safely.
- Interior:
The interior should be clear of obstructions, with lockers and floors free from items.
- Accessibility:
All covers, awnings, and security devices (wheel clamps, hitch locks) should be removed or switched off to allow access.
- Level Ground:
The caravan should be on level ground.
- Connections:
The caravan should be plugged into the mains, have a water barrel available, and have the gas and 12v systems disconnected if necessary.
- Keys:
All keys for lockers, wheel bolts, doors, etc., should be readily available.
- Notification:
If the service is taking place at a storage site or campsite, the owners/wardens should be informed.2. Service Scope and Additional Work:- Standard Service Checklist:
A standard service checklist will be followed, with scheduled time allocated. The service/inspection is only valid on the day of the service and does not imply any warranty, guarantee, certificate or life expectancy.
- Additional Work:
Any additional work beyond the standard service must be notified in advance and will be charged separately.
Equipment Checks:
The service will likely include checks of the chassis, suspension, brakes, gas and electric systems, water ingress, and bodywork.
- Damp Checks:
Our damp check services ensure the caravan is free from water ingress. The Damp check inspection is only valid on the day, time and weather at the time of the service and does not imply any warranty, guarantee, certificate or life expectancy.
-Parts:
Parts used will typically be OEM specification (If available) and chargeable in addition to labor.3. Payment and Other Terms:
- Payment:
Payment is required on completion of the work, often by cash, card, or bank transfer. (Payments may be arranged or payment date may be changed if agreed to by both the customer and Ark Caravans and Trailer LTD.
- Call-out Fees:
Call-out fees may be charged if the technician cannot gain access to the caravan, or if they have to wait for payment.
- Refunds:
Special order parts and the delivery charge are generally not refundable.
-Storage:
If the caravan is not collected within a specified timeframe after the service, storage charges may apply.
-Warranty:
Some services may require annual servicing to maintain the warranty.
- Customer Responsibility:
It's the owner's responsibility to ensure access is available, and to remove and refit security devices, says a service provider.Any parts used in relation to service or repair work remain the property of ARK Caravans and Trailers Ltd. until the invoice is paid for in full.
